Miroslava Duma, "great pic...the girl, the style, the expectation of something good-looking up into the clouds"
Miroslava Duma, "funny beautful and shy girl...but she shouldnt hide THOSE awesome legs))) ...the bag is gorgeous"
Miroslava Duma, "I love this as a closer since it shows her genuine reaction to the rain she s been expecting at first pic)) it shows that she is still a small child in her heart and that is so wonderful)"
For those of you that don't already know Taylor Warren, she's been photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth for VOGUE Gioello, starred in an Urban Outfitters catalog, and has appeared in numerous other fashion magazines.
And for those of you that might not be aware of her, Miroslava Duma is a well known editor from Moscow whose work started at Harper's Bazaar Russia and is now a contributor to L'Officiel Russia, Glamour Russia, the style section at Russian OK Magazine, and Tatler Magazine Russia. She also has a huge humanitarian heart and is currently spending time with a foundation to help people with mucoviscidosis. Beneath each photo, you will find Miroslava's editorial thoughts as she "thinks out loud" while organizing the photos.
Big thanks goes to Taylor for the shots and Big Hugs to Miroslava for taking the time to look through the photos!

Hope for those of you that celebrate Thanksgiving, you were able to enjoy it with your loved ones! It was the Thanksgiving holiday here in the U.S. this last weekend, which is why I didn't post. Now back to "regularly scheduled programming."
While Constance may have walked more shows than any other model during the s/s 2010 season (72), she's one of the few who is maintaining that prominence in the right magazines during the off season as well.

I'm curious to see what the future holds in store for her.
I thought it would be cool to try and recreate the On Duty runway for the Ruffian FW11 show in the same sequence as the Off Duty looks presented themselves to me after the show.
So here it is!
Also, I've been tweeting with regularity now, in case you want to follow @WhatShaunaThinks
After Gianfranco Ferré's show in Milan, I was really centered on getting a shot of Russian star Ranya Mordanova (L: WOMEN Milan), who you may know from her Givenchy campaign photos.
But Russian born Anya Kasakova (R: WHY NOT Milan) was alert to my tunnel vision and took matters into her own hands...
At which point I was glad to embrace the moment, thanks Anya :)
As a photographer may say to a model, "mix it up". So what better way to mix it up a bit here at altamira than by adding in some of Russia's fiercest fashion leaders. From Left to Right after the Celine show: Miroslava Duma, Elena Perminova, Anya Zirouva, and Vika Gazinskaya
Behati as discovered today in the blazing bright sun around 2:30 on Lafayette Street. She was with her bookers in the middle of a conversation when I approached them, so a word of thanks goes out to the whole group and especially Behati!
My 2 page spread/interview in Russia's OK Magazine as done through the eyes of Miroslava Duma. The circulation there is 37 million people daily!
And another piece of good news? Style.com hired me to shoot the All Points West Festival, which if you haven't seen it yet, you can see it by clicking HERE .
Besides closing 3 shows at New York Fashion Week and walking the likes of Prada, Lanvin, and Chanel, Anastasia's also made a presence in print with recent editorials in Vogue Russia and Another Magazine (shot by Josh Olins).
With her peppy and friendly presence every time I've met her, she deserves every bit of success the industry delivers her way.
This is Moscow based designer Vika Gazinskaya as seen in Paris right before the Gareth Pugh show. I'd recommend popping into her site for a minute to check out her theatrically powered catwalk video.
This is Elissey Kostsov (pronounced the same as Élysées in Champs- Élysées), Fashion Director of Citizen K Russia and Vika . It was fascinating to listen to Elissey tell me about the challenges the Russian fashion industry faces as an up and coming nation in the global fashion industry.
A profile view of Vika's always amazing hair.
I realize that Paris Fashion Week is already over a week past us, but I have so many shots backlogged from there that some are just too good to keep to myself. This shot of the ambiance at the Paris shows is one of them. Beyond the photographers storming Emmanuel Alt, you have the tourists on the left admiring all the action, the pigeon in the background flying away and the pigeon in the right foreground watching all the action too. All four of the latter define life at the Jardin des Tuileries: editors and stylists, photographers storming the stylists and editors, tourists in the background, and pigeons!
Vlada (Women, NY) had this really cool camera she had just bought at B&H, the kind you can mount onto a handglider. It was just a bit bigger than one of those rectangular matchboxes. Kind of a cool commonality considering photography is the heart of this blog.
Last night was Fashion Night Out all over the world and the streets of New York City were shoulder-to-shoulder with people shopping, partying, and drinking pretty much everything in site. It's a wonder the city still functioned everyone was having so much fun.
Crossing paths with Yulia who is always a pleasure to see, was one highlight.

One thing we did talk about briefly was Casting Director Jennifer Starr's statement in her recent interview with New York Magazine, ""Model street style has blown up significantly in the past few years, what do you make of it?There is no doubt in my mind that if you have authentic personal style, it will help you as a model. Look at models like Erin Wasson, Abbey Lee, Freja Beha, and Daria Webowy, all of whom have great style. Personal style indicates to me that you have a great sense of self. The key is having authentic style. You must feel comfortable with the image you're projecting; otherwise, it's obvious you're trying too hard."
