Laura Kampan (New York Model Management). How often is it one crosses paths with the face of Balenciaga and the solo cover model to the Feb. issue of Italian Vogue? And couple that with the beautiful cobblestone streets of Soho? Well, with due regard that happened with Laura outside of Starbucks on Crosby Street. And if you want to see a delightfully airborne image (that’s Jump Shot) of Laura, have a visit to my Instagram account @WhatShaunaThinks. Wow! Today I was leaving Barnes and Noble and spotted Brazilian babe Martha Streck rockin out not only her 7 month old pup Bartholomew, but her Stella McCartney blazer and Tory Burch bag. That was great. What was strange was how some dude that neither of us knew decided he wanted to stand right next to Martha and stare at her right while I was taking the photo. Next time I'll take a picture so you can see some behind the scenes action. Click HERE for Martha's IMG portfolio.
Hannah Holman (Ford, NY) today just two blocks South of Union Square. For the record, Hannah is one cool moderfugger (sp). Click HERE if you want to see her official Ford Models portfolio.

And stay tuned for coverage from the CFDA red carpet as well as Official After Party on June 4th.
A shot 10,000 other people didn't also take....thanks Arizona!
What's up Joan?!
With a recent string of editorial appearances in American Vogue (July, August, November 2011) I thought it was appropriate to include Claire Courtin-Clarins here.
How to do a cream colored shirt and leather pants with pumps by Miranda Kerr.
THEN: September 2009, fresh into her FIRST season
NOW: November 2011, walks the Victoria's Secret show
Now that I've been doing this for awhile, it's sometimes nice to appreciate how I've watched girls evolve through the realities (read brutalities of last minute confirmations, 2 am fittings, casting rejections) of their first runway season into eventual top models. Ieva is a great example. Hope she shares some of her new wealth with me cuz I sure could use a new Hasselblad H4D-50 camera ;))
Coat is Vintage YSL. Imogen had just arrived back in New York after trips to New Zealand and London among other global cities and was on her way to visit a friend when I caught up with her in Soho.
Good to see you Imogen!
So Friday I did some work at the Lanvin Presentation at Milk Studios and Judith was on her way to a shoot there. Such a nice chance encounter with someone I've known since 2007.
In a world (the fashion world) where people commonly mistake their public image of who they represent with who they really are on the inside, it's always freeing to meet someone who intuitively makes you feel like they know who they truly are on their inside. I've always felt a bit of this authenticity with Karlie which I think this picture displays.
This photo humors me of the first shot I took of Joan back when she was still with Elite Models in early 2008. She was walking down Broadway between Prince and Spring streets. When I asked for her photo she told me I should talk to her booker. Naturally, I snagged a candid shot of her hailing a cab regardless, which actually turned out pretty good. How times have changed since then!
You know I was backstage at the Victoria's Secret show recently and had Jessica sign her signature on a sheet for a client. It was cute in that she dotted the lower case 'i' in Jessica with a heart.
