This is Bette Franke. Apparently she was discovered while shopping back in 2003. Make no mistake about it, she has a list of accomplishments a mile long: not only was she named This Years Model by WWD back in 2005, featured in a Steven Meisel campaign for Dolce and Gabbana in 2006, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier for a Paris Vogue editorial in 2006, but she was also shot by Craig Arend for altamira in 2008 (just kidding about that!!!).

I know what I'm about to say probably sounds worn and trite like an old smelly 1970's vintage flannel shirt, but I'm sorry for the recent lack of updates. This will soon end however with fashion month coming up where you will be able to find daily updates from New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, and Paris Fashion Week.
As well, I've been working on a few behind the scenes gigs which have keep me from the streets. But when you see what's in store for fashion month, I can almost promise you will be amazed.
See you soon!

Teen Vogue, Feb. 2009
Hope everyone is enjoying a warm and memorable holiday season with family, friends, and loved one's. I promise regular updates again after the holiday season passes. For the moment, above is a scanned page from the Feb. 2009 issue of Teen Vogue, which is a collection of images I shot during fashion month. This is certainly an amazing way to end 2008. Did you know you could subscribe to 2 years of Teen Vogue for just $10? That's not even the cost of a drink in Manhattan. It also reminds me just how far I have yet to go: agents in all major global capital cities of the world, a professional photo book the size of a small desk, and eventually a 39 mega pixel Hasselblad camera. One step towards that dream has already been made as my new camera is finally in (no, not a Hasselblad, but definitely enough to provide you with word class quality), so you can look forward to new and improved images. See everyone back soon!

This last Thursday I had the pleasure of attending the Jordan Betten Art Exhibit in a penthouse loft in Chelsea dubbed, "one of the best lofts in New York," by Sotheby's. Jordan's work is taking on new heights with celebrity buyers ranging from Madonna to Nicole Kidman to Cindy Blackman. The show was curated by Stuart Holt, a private European art consultant and attendees ranged the gamut from Cindy Blackman to model Daria Werbowy. The PR Agency People's Revolution promoted the event with a small post-exhibit gathering at Bungalow 8 for the night cap.
Betten is more broadly known for his Lost Art collections, a clothing line typified by it's fringed jackets and hand sewn leather pants. Thursday marked an official expansion of his creative expertise to include professional paintings with long, swerving, continuous lines representing the twists and turns one encounters in life. For those of you interested in collecting art, Jordan signed his earlier works differently than his later one's.
Overall, it was a great time.
