Jet lagged I sat in Stureplan when I saw BON magazine's (Swedish based mag) Spring/Summer 2018 cover girl Frida speed by. What a positive surprise!

You're only new once to the runway's and last season Frida Gustavsson was already showing signs of being a media favorite (I don't mean runway, or editorial, or campaign) by sheer virtue of her great sense of style. She was always willing to give a picture, which if you ask me, is critical to helping a model become a household name -- which in turn increases her booking value and helps her make more money.
Stay tuned for tomorrows post in which I'll reveal my choice for which model at the Fall/Winter 2010 shows also displayed positive signs of being a media favorite.

The first time I shot Frida and Karlie together, I was really trying to get a shot of them standing side by side, since they are both at eye's glance, of similar height. Thought with two seasons worth of shots, you could finally get a decent idea.

ON DUTY ANALYSIS: ELIE SAAB'S COUTURE SHOW (for fun)
I'm no expert on runway show analysis, but I'll go out on a limb and say that Elie Saab was a good value show for the models that got to walk it:
--44 looks
--19 different girls, which improves mathematical odds for future face recognition and bookings/casting requests
--each girl walked the runway a minimum of two times, double face exposure time at minimum for each girl
--6 girls walked the runway three times (Karlie Kloss, Jac, Sigrid Agren, Magdalena Frackowiak, Kasia Struss, Karmen Kass)= triple face exposure time for girls lucky enough to walk three times.
--the face of each girl was still recognizable, unlike some shows where the girls face is disguised by makeup and/or costume
As spotted outside today's Chanel show coming to meet her friends Dorothea and Anna.
Not only do I like how Joan mixes a rugged boot with a soft and feminine top, but how both Joan and Frida add splashes of color to an otherwise neutral toned outfit.

Of 11 new faces at the last Victoria's Secret Runway Show, one of them was Frida Gustavsson. I couldn't be happier for someone of Frida's calibre to arrive at one of the modeling industry's most coveted runways--with her total sense of down-to-earthness still intact. #classact

VOGUE's Brian Fee (VOGUE Art) took a moment to comment on Frida Gustavsson's personal style from London to Milan to Paris. Many thanks Brian!
"...she looks totally different with her hair pulled back man! But the one look, hair pulled back with jacket and trousers, I feel she comes off most 'mature'. I find sometimes when I see these girls with their hair down they seem a bit older but not Frida. Hair down is fresh and girlish but hair up is...how do I put this, sweet but collegiate? Like she's taking a semester off from Oxford to work the runway. I dig that she sometimes pairs her personal streetstyle with doc martens, too, it's a solid foundation to a sporty look."

I've been posting on Frida since London Fashion Week, so am including an update on her power show appearances at Paris Fashion Week: Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Lanvin, Yoji Yamamoto, Viktor & Rolf, and Celine.
Jacquelyn Jablonski (ELITE Paris)
Jacquelyn's (no relation to Constance) success began in New York with participation in 21 shows in total, including influential ones like Marc by Marc Jacobs, Rag & Bone, Richard Chai, and 3.1 Phillip Lim. In Milan she walked 10 shows in total, including Prada, Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana, Bottega Veneta. Her shows in Paris read like a who's who of power shows: Givenchy, Balenciaga, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Karl Lagerfeld, Viktor & Rolf, Sophia Kokosalaki (closed), and Dries Van Noten. She is truly firing up the City of Lights.

Frida really truly continues to dazzle the modeling world with her runway show accomplishments this season. From Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and Rodarte in New York to Christian Dior AND Lanvin at Paris, Frida's success this fashion month is mesmerizing.
