Taken on Spring street just down the road from where Steve Jensen was doing a shoot. The hat and scarves initially caught my eye.

Meat Packing District: The skirt is from Tibi.
Nolita
I thought the contrast between these two photos truly illustrates what life is like in New York City. For one, you can see that the outfit in the Meat Packing District borders on the more conservative while the outfit in Nolita borders on the more edgy. As well, you can see how the weather changes so rapidly here. One minute it's sunny and literally one minute later, it becomes cloudy.
This is Eric wearing a coat from London's Public Beware. In this second picture, you can get a better view of his sideburns and hair style. I chose the first picture as the pilot picture, since it depicts life on the streets of NYC in addition to Eric's unique sense of style. You can for example, in the background on the left, see that some people are still opting to ride bikes (and brave the road traffic) instead of subways in NYC, despite the recent cold weather.
This is Emilia who is originally from Italy. Naturally, the coat is vintage Italian.
This is Brendan wearing a coat from Top Man and shoes from Opening Ceremony. I liked the subtle use of color on his sunglasses and scarf.
I loved everything about this outfit from the styling of the scarf, to the dress designed by Alexandre Herchcovitch for Opening Ceremony to the shoes. The picture was taken outside of Ricky Martin's place on Bond Street.
Another great outfit. His coat has alot of interesting detail, especially the neckline.
This is Laura Whitcomb, owner and designer for Label. She is wearing a self made dress for her shop. Double click the picture for a high resolution enlarged image.
This is Wendy, the buyer for a new store in Nolita called Think Closet located at 242 Mulberry Street. They specialize in imports from Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Korea. Double click the picture for a high resolution enlarged image.
Casual cool in Nolita: white sunglasses, nice details within the stripes on the shirt, and interesting details on the boots.
There has been some debate as to whether this Diane von Fürstenberg Ungaro Mini Dress is a "yay" or a "nay". Personally, I like the shape and cut and the color combination in this version of the dress is unique from what is being sold at shopbop.com
This is Mia Rosing. Not only did I fall in love with her knitted hat and her use of contrasting colors, but the details on her sweater coat (sleeve at forearm and pockets) were brilliant as well. Remember to click the pictures to enlarge the view.
This is Caroline wearing a Phillip Lim coat with other items from the popular vintage shop Edith Machinist .
This is Alicia from Spain seconds before she walked through the door to pinkyotto.
Her coat was bought in Switzerland. Her involvement with Luis Bardon Vintage Booksellers in Madrid makes her beautiful on the inside as well.
Joo Young on a saturday afternoon on her way to work.
Shannon taking care of business in a cute Urban Outfitters coat.

When I first saw her walking by on the sidewalk, it looked like whatever it was that she was wearing was forcing her to take small steps. Indeed, I was right as the pant legs are attached to one another.
She was actually trying to hail a yellow cab on Broadway when I "discovered" her. You can see the motion in her legs, suggestive of the pace of the immediate moment and indicative of the speed overall with which people move through NYC.
This is Meg, a Johns Hopkins graduate wearing a mini dress she bought at Girl Cat . Click the picture for a surprise.
As spotted Saturday afternoon in Nolita, carrying a fun bag. IMG model turned one time guest editor of L'Officiel...Keith Richards' daughter Theodora.
What an interesting couple. I liked her haircut, the shoulders on her coat, the cuffs on her coat, her use of floral prints, her striped tights, and the ornaments on the vamps of her shoes. HERE is a link to the Original Sized picture, where the details are a bit more noticeable...you might need to double click the picture depending on your computer settings.
From the front.
From the side.
And my pleasure to introduce you to Tamoi
, who works with textiles, silk screens, and prints.
She is wearing a strech jersey dress from Tracy Feith. With Tracy Feith, not only can you wear the dresses right off the rack, but you can often wear the same dress for both day and night festivities.
This outfit is best done justice when you click on the picture to enlarge the details.
From Oregon with love.
This is designer Camilla Stærk as discovered in Nolita.
If you are ever in New York City, be sure to stop by her flagship store at 82 Mulberry Street (between Kenmare and Broome). If you can't make it to the flagship store be sure to visit her web site for further insight into this amazing designer's pieces.

Street Fashion soldiers ready for duty. Hats are everywhere on men in NYC, but hats with details like the band on the left, or the curves on the right are more rare and very interesting eye candy.
On the left is Vic Valentino, whose creative myspace page matches his style. Kentaro Takahashi is sporting an awesome vest, awesome necklace, and great shoes. You can access his myspace off of Vic's.
