Dree Hemingway and her close friend, actress Becka Diamond. Dree's doing some work in Europe right now and I can't wait to see the results!
"Bye Bye Paris Fashion Week, kisses"
Lily Donaldson leaves the Louis Vuitton show
Dree Hemingway leaves the Karl Lagerfeld show
Dree spotted at the Palais de Tokyo (sporting spring time statement shades) has really taken the modeling world by storm over the last year. With a Gucci campaign, a cover of Russian Vogue, and editorials in LOVE, American Vogue and British Vogue the depth of her accomplishments grows deeper and deeper on an almost daily basis.
On Day 3 of Paris Fashion Week leaving the Christian Dior show.
The first time I met Charlotte was back in New York Fashion Week while the German National TV news network RTL was following me. From the various outfits I saw Charlotte wear later on up through Paris, I'd definitely put her in the category of one of fashion's best dressed models right alongside Frida Gustavsson, Iekeliene Stange, Dree Hemingway, Sasha Pivovarova, and Chanel Iman. It's as if each time I saw one of these girls, they would be wearing something different, yet well put together.
Apparently this last season Karl Lagerfeld saw something special in her too.
Of the 40 looks that were in the Karl Lagerfeld show, 10 girls walked the runway twice. Charlotte was one and she OPENED Lagerfeld. Talk about first impressions.
Of the 70+ looks that were in Chanel, Charlotte was the 15th girl to walk the barnyard hay runway. However, when Lilly Allen played on stage, two girls danced for the whole song, CENTER STAGE, and got an additional 3 minutes and some 21 seconds of additional "runway exposure time". This is essentially an advertisement in front of the Who's Who of the fashion world and considering that most girls only get seconds of face time, this stage time was a chance for Charlotte to shine.
And right alongside Iekeliene Stange, she let her personality shine while dancing the time away.
You go Charlotte!

These are in no particular order. Also, there are a few images of other models that are going to press soon and in deference to my clients, I didn't post those images.
And one more note, I'll be covering the Couture shows at Paris in January too...and from there come back to catch the street style at castings in NY and prepare for the new fashion month that is already so close to us.
A recent red carpet guest at the Cannes Film Festival
Just a few days ago I was standing outside the casting for the Marc Jacobs show and my friend Dree Hemingway (cover Russian Vogue, Gucci campaign, LOVE editorial) walked by with her bleach blonde hair. Yesterday and just one post below, you can see the worlds #1 model Raquel Zimmerman in bleach blonde hair. And in this post today you can see Women Model Management icon Vlada with her bleach blonde hair.
Recently, Patrick Demarchelier shot a spread of like 15 girls for Fashion Night Out in which Raquel had bleach blonde hair so I'm not saying this is the first time any of these girls have worn their hair color as such. It is however interesting to note how pervasive bleach blonde hair is at the current moment among top models.

Mirte Maas, November 2009
Tati Cotliar, September 2009
The first time I shot Mirte was right after her first runway season, before she shot the Balenciaga campaign with Steven Meisel, before she shot her first VOGUE U.S. editorial, and before she shot her first VOGUE Nippon editorial. She has since taken the modeling world by storm and most likely, your first street style shot of her was seen here.
If you look back in the archive history, you will also see that the same probably holds true for Tati Cotliar as well; my first street shot of her dating back to September 2009. You can also add Dree Hemingway to the list back in December of 2008.
What new faces do you think will surface a the couture shows?
Dree Hemingway, December 14, 2008...before she became a media celebrity.
Joan Smalls, back on June 3, 2009 before she became a Vogue It Girl.
Frida Gustavsson, at London Fashion Week back on September 23, 2009, in her first runway season, before she became a street style phenomena.
Tati Cotliar before she even finished her first runway season back at New York Fashion Week on September 25, 2009
Mirte Maas just after finishing her first ever runway season on November 19, 2009. Before she went on to multiple shoots with Steven Meisel, the Balenciaga campaign, and a Vogue China Cover.
Ruby Aldridge, on March 3, 2010. Before she went on to be shot by Juergen Teller for the Marc by Marc Jacobs campaign as well as by nearly every other street style blogger around.
Lindsey Wixson on February 10, 2010, just after debuting with a Miu Miu exclusive.
Ming Xi, during her first ever Paris Ready To Wear show on March 6, 2010, in a Paris Metro Stop. This is before her Givenchy campaign went mainstream.
Samantha Gradoville, on July 14, 2010. She hasn't even finished a complete runway season yet. Last season she Opened and Closed PRADA, one of the most influential shows any model can walk in, let alone a new model who Opens and Closes the show. Here she is at the recent Paris Couture shows.
The Independent, a British based newspaper recently mentioned this about altamira, "Dubbed 'Models off duty,' this blog captures the streetstyle of all kinds of fashion professionals including the industry's best-known models, often predicting soon-to-be-famous new faces."
Not only has this site been recognized as the single most powerful concentrated resource for models street style on the internet, but over time, that reach and influence will just grow more and more.
So stay tuned for updates during the coming fashion season.
Fashion month is here and it's time for everyone in the fashion industry to hunker down and get done 6 months of work in what seems like 1 week of time. I'll be shooting for New York Magazine again at all four fashion weeks, so look for coverage from the New York shows to London to Milan to Paris.
