This is Rashad. The first thing I noticed about Rashad's outfit was neither his hair nor the contrast between his shirt collar (solid) and rest of his shirt (stripes), but his vest. The sides appeared thinner than normal. It was no surprise then to find that Rashad had deconstructed the vest himself, removing with scissors all but one button on the front.
Laura Blokhina from DNA Models shirt -- ACNE skirt -- Promod Look out for Laura to exhibit a strong presence at the shows this season. In under one year she's appeared in 3 French Vogue editorials, walked the fall 2009 shows in New York London and Paris, and even walked for Christian Dior and Valentino at the Couture shows this summer.
Anna Schilling from Fusion Models NY vest -- Alexander Wang shoes -- Christian Louboutin
She walked for Margiela and Yamamoto at the Paris shows, did the campaign for Anthropologie, and has appeared in French Vogue and Wonderland editorials.
I think it's easier to articulate what she is by starting with what she is not: neither referring to a past era; nor designer driven; nor futuristic. The vest was borrowed from a friend and when coupled with her flowing dark hair and dark skin complexion, the look is cohesive and distinctively unique. How would you describe her style?
The first time I met Raquel Zimmerman in person was at the Alexander Wang intimate dinner during the March 2009 Paris shows. What I remember most from then is how eager she was to have her photo taken. Today proved no different.
In case you are wondering about the second photo down, while walking the streets, I usually wear a pair of noise cancelling headphones that attach to my i-phone. When taking Raquel's photo, the cable from my headphones came unplugged and was dangling towards the ground, which explains what she was pointing to as she thought something with my camera may have come unplugged.
It's clear Tanya's "animal magnetism" goes beyond the print on her vest for she follows her own lead when it comes to personal style. "Just be yourself," as she might say.
Quirky cool. Tie on the left, vest on the right. Cool hair too!
This girl was amazing in person. I loved the striped zipper details her coat, how it mixed with the striped stockings.
The Little White Dress (LWD). Anna Sui, Catherine Melandrino, and Zac Posen along with a plethora of other designers showed the Little White Dress overtaking the Little Black Dress (LBD) for summer 2007. And I thought Little Italy was being overtaken by Chinatown.
Street Fashion soldiers ready for duty. Hats are everywhere on men in NYC, but hats with details like the band on the left, or the curves on the right are more rare and very interesting eye candy.
On the left is Vic Valentino, whose creative myspace page matches his style. Kentaro Takahashi is sporting an awesome vest, awesome necklace, and great shoes. You can access his myspace off of Vic's.
Miroslava Duma, "great pic...the girl, the style, the expectation of something good-looking up into the clouds"
Miroslava Duma, "funny beautful and shy girl...but she shouldnt hide THOSE awesome legs))) ...the bag is gorgeous"
Miroslava Duma, "I love this as a closer since it shows her genuine reaction to the rain she s been expecting at first pic)) it shows that she is still a small child in her heart and that is so wonderful)"
For those of you that don't already know Taylor Warren, she's been photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth for VOGUE Gioello, starred in an Urban Outfitters catalog, and has appeared in numerous other fashion magazines.
And for those of you that might not be aware of her, Miroslava Duma is a well known editor from Moscow whose work started at Harper's Bazaar Russia and is now a contributor to L'Officiel Russia, Glamour Russia, the style section at Russian OK Magazine, and Tatler Magazine Russia. She also has a huge humanitarian heart and is currently spending time with a foundation to help people with mucoviscidosis. Beneath each photo, you will find Miroslava's editorial thoughts as she "thinks out loud" while organizing the photos.
Big thanks goes to Taylor for the shots and Big Hugs to Miroslava for taking the time to look through the photos!

Meet Imani Person. Can you see the details on her vintage vest? The front has a suede/leather combo and the back ties up. I should note that Imani is proud of her Steve Maddens! :)
Photo taken on Broadway, near the NYU area. Skye's high end image isn't limited to the May VOGUE Italy editorial she appeared in, but also includes her off duty style as well:
shoes -- Alexander McQueen top -- Yigal Azrouël bag -- Chanel vest -- biker shop studded pockets, cut off shorts -- Intermix
Hands down, one of the best dressed Models Off Duty at the SS17 shows. Here, Andreea modifies what could normally be a boring black vest with a feminine lace fabric (see shoulder).
Thomas and Rebecca. I asked Thomas if he folded his Pucci scarf in any special manner to fit it into his vest pocket and his reply was that he just randomly stuffed it in!
This is Devon Walker. jeans--7's shirt--vintage Bag--vintage Balenciaga from the 80's shoes--Repetto shades--Dr. Peppers
It's tough enough making deadlines during the chaos of Fashion Week, let alone when beating the oncoming traffic in skyscraper platform heels.
This is Luis Rodriguez, an advertising and wardrobe stylist for |Utopia| . I like how he mixes references here: from the rural and somewhat sporty fish hook belt buckle to the urban rolled up jeans and from the rural color of his vest (given the buckle it makes me think of boats and fishing) to the urban eyeglass frames, Luis is casual cool. He said his bike was his latest favorite accessory.
