Madelene (Marilyn, NY) walked the FW11 Calvin Klein and Alexander McQueen shows. Shot with Mario Testino for Vogue UK, Richard Burbride for Dazed and Confused in the summer. Now it appears is if the consistency of her personal style will give her an edge with the press this coming fashion season. She's already working the bow tie style as started by Jason Wu FW11 and continued by Chanel Couture in July. I'm sure under Chris Gay's management team at Marilyn NY, she's got good things in store for her.
Lina (MIKAs, Stockholm) is about as much a barrel of fun as you can barrel up in one person. Plus, she's a Swedish homeowner to boot. It's nice to see models planning their future and settling their roots despite the crazy travel and sometimes lonely life they live.

The one thing I like about Lina besides that she is also represented by FORD models New York, besides her creative vision (her bracelet and her sweater are self-made), is that she writes her blog from Sweden in English. With both girls having advertising campaigns under their belts already (Alberta Ferreti for Dorothea on left and D&G for Sara on right), I honestly hope they both become Swedish Super Powers and the faster the better. They are so cool and friendly, they deserve it.

I approached this girl when she was standing outside of Dean and Deluca. Her mom stepped out from inside of Dean and Deluca while I was bent on one knee taking my last picture (he, he explain that one in New York City). After explaining to her mother that her daughter looked great in her "urban outfitter" type style and the purpose for the picture, her mother's reaction was to introduce me to her other daughter, as if for a picture too! That they are from Sweden comes as no surprise to me at all.

Yet another day in New York City that is cloudy and chilly. It made me think of this leather and lace tunic combo worn by Women Management's Dorothea. An easy way to mix masculine with feminine while on the run.
