One cool thing about the local New York City fashion circuit is how it's kind of like a mini-family get together during the week. Last night at the Juicy Couture Showroom, Juicy brought together some of New York City's funnest and cutest bloggers to get up close and personal with the new Juicy collection for summer. The highlight of the evening was when celebrity fitness instructor Tracy Anderson (fitness instructor to Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow) lead a mini exercise routine right inside the showroom. And just for an FYI, Lara Stone recently began using the Tracy Anderson routine well.

While campaign models like Hanne Gaby as seen in the post below and Daria Strokous weren't there, the festivity was a total blast. Juicy had nutritionists come consult with the drinks menu for the evening resulting in healthy and refreshing drinks ranging in title from The Hottie to Revitalize. I opted for the Hottie which was mixed with Herradura Silver Tequila, maple syrup, lemon juice, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. I swear I was transported to the beaches of Barcelona when I drank this.

I think it's safe to say that the clothing on display in the showroom had a similarly inspirational effect on the others present. Hats were tried on, sunglasses were playfully put on, and an overall good time was had by all.

When I started this blog back in 2007, there was no such thing as the fashion world using twitter, using instagram, using Tumblr.

That's all changed for me and it's all changed for the modeling world too. Previous to the internet, models received their booking value through Runway, Campaigns, and Editorials. Now, models get their booking value through Social Media, which combines their street style presence via Social Media with their own social media channels like twitter, instagram, and Tumblr.

Even Supermodel Karolina Kurkova recently exhorted models, "It is no longer enough to just look beautiful and be in great shape. You need to be interesting." The fact of the matter is, as bloggers can now create their own booking value via developing online presence, so models can create their own booking value too. This translates into more money.

Trey Laird, Creative Director for Laird & Partners, the advertising agency which represents Juicy Couture (cha-ching, Steven Meisel shoots for them for a reason) confirms Kurkova's exhortation in financial terms “It’s not just enough to cast such-and-such a girl that opened Prada or Vuitton or whatever,” . “It’s a huge help if a girl already has a platform and followers, and Kate Upton is a great example of that.”

Miroslava Duma, "great pic...the girl, the style, the expectation of something good-looking up into the clouds"

Miroslava Duma, "funny beautful and shy girl...but she shouldnt hide THOSE awesome legs))) ...the bag is gorgeous"

Miroslava Duma, "I love this as a closer since it shows her genuine reaction to the rain she s been expecting at first pic)) it shows that she is still a small child in her heart and that is so wonderful)"

For those of you that don't already know Taylor Warren, she's been photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth for VOGUE Gioello, starred in an Urban Outfitters catalog, and has appeared in numerous other fashion magazines.

And for those of you that might not be aware of her, Miroslava Duma is a well known editor from Moscow whose work started at Harper's Bazaar Russia and is now a contributor to L'Officiel Russia, Glamour Russia, the style section at Russian OK Magazine, and Tatler Magazine Russia. She also has a huge humanitarian heart and is currently spending time with a foundation to help people with mucoviscidosis. Beneath each photo, you will find Miroslava's editorial thoughts as she "thinks out loud" while organizing the photos.

Big thanks goes to Taylor for the shots and Big Hugs to Miroslava for taking the time to look through the photos!
