Last night was epic in terms of personal milestone's as I was offered the unique opportunity to shoot the behind the scenes action of the Victoria's Secret for Pelotonia.org drive. Pelotonia describes itself as "a grassroots bike tour with 1 goal: to end cancer." So, 5 angels rode for the Pelotonia Charity mission to end cancer, including Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge, Lindsay Ellingson, and Erin Heatherton.

The night started early at Milk Studios were the girls received hair and make up applications. From there, we took a van over to Soul Cycle Studio's in Tribeca where the girls posed for the press and later went downstairs to ride bikes. All contributoins from the evening went to Pelotonia. Many thanks to Victoria's Secret for giving me the opportunity.

HAIR: by Frankie Foye--Braids to give texture and dimension mixed with textural pony tails. Easy way to contain the hair for exercise, but still have something interesting going on.

MAKE UP: by Ana Marie--Beautiful, healthy, fresh, radiant, glow. Curled lashes combined with waterproof mascara (top & bottom) for exercise. Sheer tinted moisturizer coupled with light lip stain for a fresh and natural look.

Polina Sova with FORD on the left and Sacha Blue with IMG on the right enjoy a magazine together away from the paparazzi at Bryant Park by turning their backs to the sidewalk and facing "greener pastures".

Somehow I doubt the same tactic would work at the Tuileries Garden Fountain and Pool in Paris.

ON DUTY ANALYSIS: ELIE SAAB'S COUTURE SHOW (for fun)
I'm no expert on runway show analysis, but I'll go out on a limb and say that Elie Saab was a good value show for the models that got to walk it:

--44 looks
--19 different girls, which improves mathematical odds for future face recognition and bookings/casting requests
--each girl walked the runway a minimum of two times, double face exposure time at minimum for each girl
--6 girls walked the runway three times (Karlie Kloss, Jac, Sigrid Agren, Magdalena Frackowiak, Kasia Struss, Karmen Kass)= triple face exposure time for girls lucky enough to walk three times.
--the face of each girl was still recognizable, unlike some shows where the girls face is disguised by makeup and/or costume

I saw Swedish sensation Frida at New York Fashion Week wearing another version of a brown blazer but wasn't able to get a clean shot. At least here in London I was able to grab a shot that shows her Dr. Martens, long socks over tights, and another one of her brown blazers. Yes, I'd guess she likes brown blazers :)

She's having a massively successful season so far including opening New York's Richard Chai show, opening London's Luella and Pringle of Scotland's shows, and walking a host of other major shows including among others:

New York: Oscar de la Renta, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, Isaac Mizrahi, and Carolina Herrera.

London: Christopher Kane, Topshop Unique, Richard Nicoll, and Jaeger London

Frida really truly continues to dazzle the modeling world with her runway show accomplishments this season. From Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and Rodarte in New York to Christian Dior AND Lanvin at Paris, Frida's success this fashion month is mesmerizing.

Wow! Today I was leaving Barnes and Noble and spotted Brazilian babe Martha Streck rockin out not only her 7 month old pup Bartholomew, but her Stella McCartney blazer and Tory Burch bag. That was great. What was strange was how some dude that neither of us knew decided he wanted to stand right next to Martha and stare at her right while I was taking the photo. Kate King (Canada/FORD, NY) walked Wang in her first season ever FW11

New York Fashion Week is here and from within the modeling industry, everyone's eyes are wide open to spot the next big face of the season. BCBG Max Azria on Day 2 will often set a precedent, followed by Alexander Wang on Day 3. The big question about Wang's show is, "Who will open Alexander Wang?" Wang has recently set a precedent with discovering The New Face of the season. I wish I could say it was me (ha) as he (Alexander Wang) often remembers me when I wear my Marc Jacob's silk georgette twill top with built in bow tie (shot his party at Paris Fashion Week wearing that and then a year later he recalled it), but alas reality sets in.

Wang wasn't always the hit wonder for models though. Up until he got the CFDA Top 10 nomination, he was casting more unknown girls. Taking a quick look at the history of who opened Alexander Wang therafter, this is what we get:

Hang with me here for just a couple of more minutes. If you take a look at the other models who get cast for Wang, you will see a lineup full of A-listers. Out of curiosity, I wanted to see who The Real Queen of the Alexander Wang runway was. Which model has walked Alexander Wang MORE than any other model? So I went back in the archives at both style.com and vogue.com till they didn't have any older shows than SS17 and made a mini Runway IQ tracker which you can play with below.

Not only do I like how Joan mixes a rugged boot with a soft and feminine top, but how both Joan and Frida add splashes of color to an otherwise neutral toned outfit.

This is Kinga's first appearance on my blog, photographed here exiting the SS17 Balenciaga show at Paris Fashion Week. In this case, I'd say this outfit is all about the volume: the scarf, the oversized blazer, and the skirt.

Known for Opening AND Closing the F/W 2010 Prada show, Samantha has yet to complete a full season of fashion shows. Samantha keeps her personal style equally high end with her Prada Bag and Alexander Wang skirt.
