Because We Don't Have Enough To Do ...
And ...
We don't have enough stress.
Enough chaos.
Enough places to be.
We don't have enough pressures.
Enough responsibilities.
Enough taking up our time.
We don't have enough ... sense.
That is what our neighbors must be saying.
"Aren't we in the middle of a stock market crash?"
"Aren't we headed for a depression?"
"Why yes," I say, "But ..."
We don't have enough animals to take care of.
Lawn to tend to.
Car's to build.
Blogs to write.
Homework to do.
Sporting events to attend.
PTA's to sit on.
Groceries to buy.
Meals to cook.
Beds to make.
Laundry to wash.
Cars to fill with fuel.
Businesses to run.
We don't have enough to do.
But ...
What we do have is ...
Plenty of kids, and ...
Not enough rooms in this old house ...
So ...
In an effort to keep the economy moving - at least in our tiny neck of the woods - at least for a short period of time ...
We've decided to BUILD THAT ROOM!

During an election year when electing a new President guarantees nothing - but change - but ... who really knows what that will mean ...
During an approaching or immanent recession ...
We have finally dug out those architectural plans from the closet - dusted them off and ...
Broken ground.
On the upside ... Are we crazy? Maybe. Are we worried? Not in the least. It will all be worth it when this new (office/den) room is completed - that room - that new room that will serve as one more space in our home to shuttle growing kids into and close the door behind them. I'll keep you posted. It's got all the possibilities of a great adventure.
